Google analytics servicesIt is a myth that you have to study Google Analytics only from an SEO point of view. You can learn a lot about how your online users are reacting to your online content by looking at statistical data on Google Analytics. With the right kind of insight into the scheme of things, you can easily rectify the mistakes that you are making while drafting content for your website or even for SEO purposes. In this post, we are dealing with only some of these terms to present our case.

Let’s talk about Bounce Rate first. We know that if readers move away from your web page without making any clicks or digging further into your website, we can count that as a ‘bounce’. The Bounce Rate is the percentage of number of such ‘bounces’ per hundred visits to a particular web page. If the Bounce Rate is high, it means that the content is likely to blame to a certain extent. Users are not being enticed enough to click on available web links or simply disinterested by what they are reading. You can improve your content substantially if you look at the Bounce Rate of the web page that you have written.

Another good indicator of your content is the amount of time spent on your web page. The higher this number, the better your content is. If your content is gripping and interesting, readers will read through your content despite the many distractions that the internet brings to every user. On the other hand, if the time spent on the web page is very low, for example, some seconds or lower it means you need to hold the attention of the reader for longer periods of time. You have to come up with write-ups that grab the attention of the reader and keeps them engaged till the end of the web page.

Google Analytics will also allow you to check the effectiveness of your SEO content: be it articles or blog posts. Check how many referrals these articles or blog posts have contributed towards your website. If you find that a particular article or blog post has done exceptionally in terms of bringing in online traffic for your website, you must have done something right here! Replicate the modus operandi elsewhere as well and also make sure that you contribute more content towards this source.
