There is no need to get very technical at this point but what you should know is the any person or company trying to build a basic Digital Signage network needs to have access to some sort of Signage software that manages and sends multimedia data from a computer to a network of TV screens installed on location. And by location we can refer to a local shop, a local bank, a mall, etc.

Using the special dedicated software, content can be created. Then it is sent to the TV screens using the internet .Useful information like weather, RSS news, or even LIVE TV can be shown on the screens along with ads, images, videos and so on.

The idea is that dynamic media content displayed on the TV screens can be easily replaced or updated remotely and this is the main advantage over using local ads or messages. Anyone passing by the TV screens can view your content and if you are using a KIOSK based touch screen they can even interact with the TV’s by accessing different modules like the Facebook component, the Twitter component, and others. This is also good when you are planning to reach an elderly audience or certain classes of people that live in rural areas and don’t have access to the newest technology on an everyday basis.

Using Digital Signage can help you  build an effective marketing campaign and having the option of using HTML snippets based on any Signage Presentation, it means that you can create the content ones and then view it both online and offline.
